What if my landscapes never turn out – Or I'm worried this will be too complicated? – I make it doable for you with my step-by-step recipe to walk you through a CLEAR process. If you get stuck, just upload your painting and question, and I will be giving FEEDBACK on the live calls to as many students as possible. You'll learn from watching the Q&A calls, how to work through the challenges and turn your painting into something you’re proud of.
What if I've never enjoyed painting landscapes? – Yes, they are overwhelming when you don’t have a step by step plan for doing them. But I'll give you my playful process to actually enjoy learning to create a painting you can be proud of .
Do you offer any cheaper classes? – Not on Landscape Painting, and not with LIVE feedback. In this class you get to be on LIVE calls with me as I help you through the painting.
What if I can't make the LIVE calls? – No problem, they are recorded and will be emailed to you. You can watch them at your convenience.
What size canvas do I need? – Any medium to large size canvas will work. I recommend you go bigger than you're used to, because I'll be here to guide you through the process. 30" x 20" is great, or 36" x 24" is amazing. Minimum recommended is 20" x 16". Most students are happy that they went bigger.
What are the dates and times for the class? – You'll have access to start your painting videos on Friday, February 24, and class goes for three weeks PLUS a bonus week if you need more time.
There are three LIVE group calls on Feb 24, March 3 and March 10 at 8am PT, 9am MT, 10am CT, 11am ET. PLUS a bonus call on March 17! ... If you can't make a call don't worry - they're all recorded!
If you don't finish in three weeks, it's okay, you'll have access to these videos and can keep going after the class on your own.
What if I don’t have time for this now, but I’d love to do it later? – No problem, you can join now and access the class for up to 1 year – Easy peasey!
What’s on the supply list? – A medium to large size canvas for this painting and a Gelli Plate. You probably have everything else if you're an acrylic painter, but you might want to grab some exciting new colors you love. OR, just use the acrylic paints you have. That’s perfectly fine too.
What's the time commitment? – You can work on your painting at your leisure over the three week period. I recommend you plan to complete your painting during this period, so that I can help you. If you don't finish it during the three weeks, that's okay, you can finish it on your own after the class. For the best chance of success, plan to come to the 3 group calls. Plus there's a fourth bonus call if you need more time.
I haven't worked on a canvas larger than 16x20". Are techniques different than what we learned in your other classes? – Although the mixed media techniques are similar, the process is different. Painting larger, and painting landscapes can be a complicated process. I make it easier for you by teaching you my step-by-step process that I've taught in workshops over and over with great success. (see the photos!) ... so don't worry, you can totally do this with my guidance!
Do I have to be an experienced painter to take this class? – You do NOT have to be a master painter. If you have painted for approximately a year, or taken some painting classes, you can do this. If you have absolutely no painting experience, this class is not for you.
What if I have NO IDEA how to do landscapes? – Perfect! This class will give you a doable, fun process to create your own big landscape painting in just a few weeks. You'll have an incredible sense of accomplishment, and be amazed what you are capable of when you have a recipe and guidance!
How does this class differ from other Landscape painting classes? – Most landscape classes are focused on detail or realism, and give you endless hours of videos and lessons you'll never watch. This class gives you 8 simple steps to complete your own original painting, with the accountability of our LIVE weekly calls to keep you on track.
